As they say, what happens at Vegas by the Bay, stays at Vegas by the Bay.
The Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic (GMCC) is pleased to announce that it will host its 10th Annual “Night at the Casino: Vegas by the Bay” March 21 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Abingdon Ruritan Centre.
The event boasts an evening of casino games, raffles and auctions, with all proceeds supporting the GMCC.
The goal this year, the 10th in the event’s history? Raise $100,000 to support families in the Gloucester and Mathews communities, providing them with needed healthcare services.
For every dollar that’s raised, GMCC is able to provide $15.11 of care to patients of the clinic.
The Gloucester Mathew Care Clinic provides community-based healthcare, including medical, dental and patient education, to patient who lack health insurance or the income to pay for it.
In 2014 alone, the GMCC cared for more than 2,000 patients over nearly 13,000 patient visits, and the services rendered were valued at more than $17 million.
Tickets are $40 and include Happy Hour, casino games, a live auction, silent auction, stage prizes, 50/50 raffle, heads or tails and “wheel barrow of fun.”
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the event, and with sponsorship, attendees are invited to a pre-party that begins at 6 p.m. the night of the event.
